Hibiscus Petals, flavored like tart, are rich in anti-oxidants and Vitamin C. Being anti-bacterial, it cleanses the body internally.

 

Application of Hibiscus Petals-

 

As a anti-bacterial and Blood Pressure Regulator: Brew a few dried petals of rose in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain and enjoy. You may add other herbs or sweetner or additives of your choice. It is known to maintain Blood Pressure (of both levels) and cleanses the body.

 

As a taste enhancer for beverages, and to impart color: Add hibiscus petals while you prepare your beverages to enhance their taste. It can be added to drinks, lemonade, tonics, cocktails, juices, etc. It also imparts red color upon brewing, and can be used to make the food colorful.

 

As face toner: Add some hibiscus petals to water and let it steep for a few hours. Spray it on your face as toner. You can even use cooled hibiscus tea (without any sweetener/additives) for this purpose. Store it in refrigerator and use within 2-3 days.

 

As hair tea: Add some hibiscus petals to water and let it steep for a few hours, or take some cooled hibiscus tea (without any sweetener/ additives). Use this to prepare your hair masks or last rinse after shampoo for shiny and mild aromatic hair.

 

As maceration to oils: Add some dried hibiscus petals to an airtight clean container. Pour the bottle with any carrier oil of your choice. Close it and keep it in warm sun for a week. Use this oil for your hair, face or consumption purposes, as applicable, within 2-3 months.

 

As aromatherapy- Burn a few rose petals, or add it to melted wax/ diffusers for aromatherapy.
